Adventure Carrick

Adventure Carrick is a charitable organization which organizes outdoor adventures such as abseiling, bicycling, paddleboarding and kayaking.  If you want to take advantage of the outdoors on your visit get in touch with them.

CRAG Community Arts

An arts charity which organizes art and craft workshops and community events including the famous Lantern Parade . Find it at the Wee School Art Space in Henrietta Street, Girvan.

Girvan Community Garden

Girvan Community Garden can be found on Knockcushan Street across from Girvan Harbour.  This is a wonderful garden run by volunteers which nurtures plants and people alike.  Watch out for the pop in events such as Cozy Spaces where you can grab a soup or a cuppa free in the garden.

Humeston Barn

Humeston Barn is the public space of this Ayrshire dairy farm located outside Maybole.  This has a great farm and coffee shop with outdoor seating for you to enjoy .

There are numerous walking and cycling trails in South Ayrshire.  From the hilly challenges of the "Ayrshire Alps" to easier routes. People of all ages can get out and enjoy the great outdoors.  Watch out for the development of the Culzean Way.- accessible for all.

South Ayrshire Snorkel Trail

Biosphere Bikes

The new South Ayrshire snorkel trail has the best snorkelling sites from Ballantrae to Troon on the stunning rugged Ayrshire coast.  Co-designed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust with Adventure Carrick and locals, you can snorkel below castles, around skerries and through ancient volcanic sea caves, all with the majestic Ailsa Craig rising from the Firth of Clyde.

Biosphere Bikes encourages people into a healthier lifestyle using cycling as a means. We are a Not-A social enterprise charity based in Girvan. They are a community bike hire hub at Girvan seafront giving access to bikes, bike hire and related activities for everyone no matter age ability or disability with a range of bikes including electric bikes, manual bikes and bikes for the able and not so able bodied.
