YOUR HOST'S EATING RECOMMENDATIONS

Order your fresh Scottish Breakfast and/or Meat Pack direct from the local Dalduff's Farm Shop and have it delivered to Ayrshire Abode.  No Scottish vacation is complete without it.   Maly's Cafe, in Girvan's main street, will serve up great breakfast options at unbeatable cafe/diner  prices.

Afternoon Tea at Turnberry Luxury Resort overlooking the Irish Sea and Ailsa Craig is divine.  Afternoon Tea at the award winning Glenapp Castle, by Ballantrae, is an experience.  Enjoy a walk in the gardens and soak up the atmosphere of this historic place.

A visit to Souter's Inn in Kirkoswald (5 minutes from Ayrshire Abode) will not only give you a taste of Robert Burns' countryside but provides a chance to taste haggis amongst many other delicious options.  It has both traditional and contemporary options in cozy surroundings.   Start to your day with a hearty breakfast or tea and scones.  Try The Greenside Restaurant in Maybole for a hidden treasure with an extensive menu.

Walk to the Duel in the Sun bar and restaurant to grab a drink or a meal in the evening at Turnberry Golf Course with sea views.  Go a little further into Maidens to find Ropes Bistro, sitting high above Maidens Harbour for casual food and drink with a charming view.  It also often has live music at the weekend.  Maidens also offers the popular restaurant, Wildings

Drive into Girvan, turn right at the traffic lights towards the harbour and you'll find Graziano's takeout.  Follow the queues to get your fish and chips straight out of the paper wrappers or book your table at Austin's restaurant by the harbour for a hearty meal.
